Pack 42's Charter Organization
What is a Charter Organization?
Each Cub Scout Pack has a sponsoring Charter Organization.
The Charter Organization helps the Cub Scout pack by providing a
meeting place and by insuring the Pack has necessary adult leadership.
Cub Scout Packs and their Charter Organizations re-charter with
the Boy Scouts of America every year.
Today, more than 100,000 Charter Organizations are
helping Scouts worldwide.
Pack 42's Charter Organization
Since 1972, Cub Scout Pack 42's Charter Organization
has been the Jonesville United Methodist Church. The Pack uses the
church's classrooms and activity hall for many of its meetings and
events.
Pack 42 is tremendously grateful for the more than
35 years of support our wonderful Charter Organization has provided!
Jonesvile United Methodist Church's history with Scouting
actually goes all the way back to 1916, when it chartered the sixth
Boy Scout Troop in Saratoga County. Boy Scout Troop 6 continues
to be active today.
